A few months ago, when I first saw Rachel Maddow report the suspected links between SB 1070 and private federal prison interests, I decided to do some research on my own. I was able to sketch out a broad general picture, but I wasn’t able to completely convince myself that Maddow’s story was as convincing as she depicted it to be.
It’s sort of gratifying reading NPR’s story now and seeing how they’ve been able to fill in the gaps that I couldn’t figure out by myself.
And revolting, of course.
